What’s in this week’s Visitor?

The Visitor has now hit the shelves and is packed full of local news, sport and entertainment.

This week’s front page is about a potential entertainment venue and ice rink being built on the Frontierland site after developers revealed their plans for the former fairground which has been a wasteland for over a decade.

There is also news on a possible ‘superstore’ being built next to the Globe Arena, a Morecambe soldier’s miraculous escape when his armoured vehicle was blown up in Afghanistan, and a woman’s amazing recovery after nearly dying in a freak horse accident.

You can also read about Lancaster’s very own Olympians competing in the water polo and swimming events, and Jim Bentley tells us that his Shrimps team are now ready for the start of the new season.
