Here is a colourful mystery we are trying to solve in the West End of Morecambe.

Somebody has been tying coloured scarfs and wristbands to trees in the area.

A resident said: “They are popping up all over the West End.

“As quickly as they are removed, they are replaced. Mainly near West End Primary, but also on Westminster Mews and West Street.”

The Visitor contacted the school and also local music organisation More Music to ask if they knew who was responsible.

Then we asked you, our readers, to let us know if you had any information about the woolly makeover.

Kat Harkin got in touch and said people were tying scarfs to trees for homeless people to take and use them to keep warm.

“My friend did it last year in Lancaster,” said Kat.

“Anyone can do it now the cold weather is setting in.”
