Crowds craned their necks to the skies to watch war planes fly over Morecambe and Lancaster.

Two flypasts marked 70 years since the ‘Wings for Victory’ flight over Lancaster to raise funds for the Second World War effort.

On Saturday the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) Dakota plane flew over Morecambe promenade and then on to Lancaster where it flew over Williamson Park.

Then on Sunday the BBMF Lancaster, Spitfire and Hurricane flew the same route.
