Lancaster University is officially one of the best institutions of its kind in the world... again.
The university is the only UK university in the TES 100 under 50 world rankings - and the highest placed British university in the table, climbing from 14th to 10th.
Lancaster’s vice-chancellor Professor Mark E. Smith said the success was a great result as the university celebrated it’s 50th anniversary.
He added: “Lancaster is a dynamic, young and forward looking university which has seen incredible success in just 50 years.
“Lancaster has confirmed its place among the world’s elite institutions .”
The top 10 includes entrants from eight countries.
Other UK universities include Warwick (12), Essex (22), Brunel (29) and Bath (joint 34).
