A 10-hour music marathon featuring a guest appearance from X Factor star Paul Akister raised £1,600 for a children’s charity.

The Lancaster singer signed autographs and posed for photos at the packed Unique Kidz & Co charity event at the Trimpell in Morecambe just before Christmas.

The family fun event was organised by local performer Stuart Michaels.

Stuart and other musicians from the area performed on stage throughout the day.

Some of them sang a live version of Band Aid’s ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas?’ which was also on sale as a CD single to raise funds.

Danny Matthews from The Bay radio hosted a raffle and auction.

Unique Kidz & Co offers after school clubs and activities for disabled children in the Lancaster and Morecambe district.
