YOUR favourite Morecambe music festivals are returning this year with something for everyone.

Established Kalimba events such as Country Kickback, Blueswater, Morecambe Jazz and Motown Magic are back on the calendar for this summer.

The shows will include tribute acts to some of the biggest names in music.

Take That, Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas and The Saturdays tributes will perform at the May Bank Holiday Morecambe Live Weekender to open the Morecambe Live season.

The season will close with Tom Jones, Beatles, George Michael and Ian Dury tributes as part of the August bank holiday Beach Bash.

In between, there will be quality acts coming to Morecambe from across musical genres including newcomers Kyla Brox and Pete Redfearn, and returning favourites such as ex-Liberty X singer Kev Simm.

Most of the Morecambe Live season, sponsored by Morecambe Town Council and the Arndale Centre, will come from the outdoor Platform stage on the promenade.

But other venues including Smokey O’Connor’s, the York Hotel and The Crown Hotel will also join in.

Afternoon events are free but some evening shows are ticketed. Call Kalimba on 01524 424303. for details.
