THE family of a biker who sadly died following a collision with a Land Rover Discovery have paid tribute to a “caring man”.

John Tweddell, 45, of Sefton Road, Morecambe, sustained serious injuries in the crash on Sunday afternoon and died at the scene.

Jane Tweddell, John’s wife said on behalf of the family: “John was a caring man with a dry wit, enigmatic smile and brilliant blue eyes, who tragically lost his life enjoying one of his passions.

“His love for life was evident; he worked hard and played harder.

“He made friends easily and was a constant joke teller.

“He was a loving husband, dearest son to his parents Janice and Jeff and the perfect big brother to his sisters Karen and Emma.

“He will be sadly missed by his family and all who knew him, our lives are a little dimmer with his loss.”

South Cumbria’s Roads Policing Unit are investigating the incident on the A683 between Sedbergh and Middleton and are appealing for witnesses to the collision to call PC Colin Keen on 0845 33 00 247.
