Taxi driver tells of crash trauma

PART of a garden wall was knocked down after two cars crashed in Torrisholme on Saturday afternoon.

The drivers of the blue Hyundai taxi and blue Rover 420 car, a woman and a man, suffered minor injuries in the accident which happened at around 4.30pm at the junction of Lonsdale Avenue and Michaelson Avenue.

Taxi driver Julie Parrington from Morecambe, said: “I was travelling along Michaelson Avenue towards the church when the crash happened.

“I careered into the wall and fence and his car spun round.

“I suffered muscle trauma to my back, ligament damage to my ankle and a lump to my head.

“My female passenger suffered injuries to her ankle.”
