We are all eagerly anticipating the arrival of world-renowned guru of vintage-influenced design, Wayne Hemingway.
It’s a massive stroke of luck for Morecambe that Wayne has chosen to have his Vintage Festival in the town.
And his venue – the Midland Hotel – will be a perfect location for this quirky and stylish event.
Like many seaside towns, Morecambe is now able to cash in on the public’s hunger for retro experiences. Our town and its historic buildings are still redolent of past glories.
We also have some wonderful businesses selling vintage goods such as Dotty’s Vintage, 13 The Warehouse and The View cafe. The town’s various antiques shops also have much to offer.
Hopefully the Vintage Festival will be a roaring success and can be repeated in years to come. Sand grown ‘un Wayne, who lived in Morecambe as a young boy, is rightly proud of what Morecambe has to offer.
We live in a magnificent setting, our old buildings are full of character and there is huge potential in the town.
The name Wayne Hemingway is synonymous with quality and innovation and it would be great if his support inspires others to do more to help regenerate Morecambe.
