Some of our district’s best places to visit, eat and drink have earned a pat on the back.

Carnforth railway station, Williamson Park, Atkinsons coffee shop in Lancaster and The Dukes theatre are amongst those on the shortlist for the Lancashire Tourism Awards 2013, taking place on Thursday, November 7 at Blackburn Cathedral. Tickets can be bought from www.lancashiretourismawards.co.uk
