A TODDLER had a chunk of her hair sliced off with a box cutter.

One-year-old Macy Coyle was left crying and distraught after the incident at Sainsbury’s.

Macy and a member of staff bumped into each other, and the box cutter got caught in Macy’s hair.

Her mum Sian Bonnell said: “It could have easily taken the top of her ear off – it was like a guillotine.”

Sian, 26, said: “We were walking down the wine aisle, and she was holding my hand. A member of staff had a cage full of stock, and as we walked past, he and Macy bumped into each other.

“Macy was hooked on the plastic cutter, and it sliced a good chunk of her hair off.

“I was consoling her, and brushed her head, and then there was hair on the floor and in my hand.

“I started saying ‘what’s happened’ and the man said ‘she bumped into me’.

“She kept repeating ‘Man cut my head’ over and over.
