Three men arrested after attempted burglary in Heysham

Three men were arrested in Heysham today, Monday, after they tried to steal money from a house owner.

Police were called to a house in Fulmar Crescent at 10.30am after three men wearing hoodies gained entry to the property and demanded money from the man inside.

They escaped the house without any money and were later arrested by police.

The occupant of the house suffered minor cuts to an arm.

A 25-year-old man from Morecambe is in custody on suspicion of aggravated burglary and possession of cannabis.

A 26-year-old man from Morecambe is in custody on suspicion of aggravated burglary.

A 27-year-old man from Lancaster is also in custody on suspicion of aggravated burglary and possession of cannabis with intent to supply.
