Have your say

Here is the latest David’s Diary column from David Morris, Morecambe and Lunesdale MP

I HAVE uploaded to my website the fly through video of the M6 Heysham Link Road, the video which is a computer generated image gives you a good impression of the route the road will take and also what it will finally look like. You will find it on the links page.

On Friday, I saw an ambulance literally battling to try and get through the traffic on Morecambe Road, I hope that once the link is opened our ambulances and other emergency vehicles will be able to travel without hindrance.

Thank you to the Aspinall family for allowing me to have a look around their offices and factory in Heysham. Aspinall Engineering is a family run business and have been manufacturing in the constituency for many years. Recently, they were featured on TV news broadcasts after they erected the Azerbaijan Flame Sculpture.

When I visited last week they were manufacturing some new parts for the Runcorn/Widnes (Silver Jubilee) bridge and doing some other work for a high-profile individual.

Last week I also had my regular get together with the Lancaster & Morecambe MS Society, if you do suffer from MS and are not in touch with the society I suggest you do so.

It was also nice to attend their AGM on Friday evening.

On Friday I also attended Pine Lake, Pine Lake is a place I have visited before but it was nice to see their refurbishments and support a worldwide business that employs lots of people from this constituency both at Pine Lake and also their European HQ in Lancaster.

Over the weekend I attended the ANZAC day commemorations and would like to thank all involved for their invite.

This weekend sees the Morecambe Variety Festival, please do support it – it promises to be an exciting weekend. Some of my staff will be volunteering to staff the Winter Gardens too.

My next surgery is this Friday (May 4) at Morecambe library.

To book an appointment at one of my advice surgeries, please call 01524 841225.
