Teenager assaulted at Lancaster takeaway

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was assaulted at a takeaway in Lancaster.

Around 3.40am on Sunday, January 27, a 19-year-old man from the town was repeatedly punched in the face and body as he was waiting to order food at Iky’s on St Leonards Gate.

A police spokesperson said: “This was a nasty and unprovoked assault and anybody who was in the takeaway at the time of the assault is asked to contact police.

“Police would also like to speak with a man who was captured on CCTV inside the takeaway at the time of the incident.

“Anybody who recognises him is asked to come forward.”
