Parachuting teddy bears will fly high at an annual charity day in Happy Mount Park.
The Teddy Bears’ Picnic is becoming one of the most popular family events on the park’s calendar. Kids bring along their cuddly bears and take part in all kinds of activities including a ‘teddy bear parachute jump’ from the top of a fire engine ladder.
This costs £1 with all proceeds to Cystic Fibrosis UK and all kids get an official certificate to show how brave your bear has been. Other events on the day include a teddy bear art work shop, Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, teddy bear treasure hunt, Punch and Judy, balloon modelling, teddy competitions and appearances from the RNLI hovercraft, coastguards, police and St John Ambulance.
It will be held on Saturday, May 25 from 11.30am.
