Protest trip for NHS rally

Lancaster and Morecambe TUC is laying on coaches for the NHS Support Rally this Sunday (September 29) in Manchester. A march and rally will take place as the Conservative party conference takes place in the city. Schools lead way in SATs figures

Figures for SATs tests taken by eleven-year-olds this year show that the proportion of Lancashire pupils reaching expected levels in reading, writing and mathematics has risen from 76% to 77%, compared with 75% nationally. The increase has been achieved despite national scores remaining unchanged in the past year.
