In other events, rock ‘n’ roll band The Paul Hayes Collection played live at Smokey O’Connor’s pub on Friday night and the Morecambe Brass Band performed at the Winter Gardens on Saturday.

Additionally, the Morecambe Classic Bike Club also rode in procession from Bull Beck to Morecambe and set up a display of their motorbikes. It was led by ex-Marine Ted Tandy riding a 1958 Ariel Huntmaster 650cc with his dog Shem in the side car. The last bike in the parade was a 1000cc Ariel Square Four. Money was raised by collection for the Hounds for Heroes charity which supplies special helper dogs to disabled servicemen.
