MORECAMBE FC have brought in a noise pollution expert to help in their fight to hold live outdoor music concerts at the Globe Arena.
Manchester consultants Hepworth Acoustics wrote to Lancaster City Council claiming noise levels from gigs on the Morecambe FC pitch would not exceed national guideline decibel levels assuming “careful design of the event PA system”.
A neighbour has also welcomed plans to run three days of concerts per year at the Globe.
Paul Barrett, who lives on Needham Avenue at the back of the stadium, wrote to the council saying he had no objections and “it would be great to have a big name concert event in our area”.
