Morecambe FC boss Jim Bentley and his players put their best foot forward to help a brave young football fan.
Bentley and some of his Shrimps joined Mateo Sanderson on a sponsored walk to raise cash for Children in Need and Alex House respite centre Friends Group in Lancaster.
Mateo, who has cerebral palsy, is a regular at Morecambe FC’s Globe Arena.
The walk on September 29 from the Midland to Happy Mount Park and back raised £1,600. Over 300 people took part including many of Mateo’s friends in wheelchairs. David Morris, MP for Morecambe, also went along to support Mateo.
At the finishing line the Morecambe players presented everyone taking part with a medal.
Mateo thanked everyone who took part.
