FANCY being a radio DJ?

Then the unlikely setting of the Arndale Centre in Morecambe is the place to be.

Father and daughter DJ team Steve and Becky Middlesbrough are recruiting budding disc jockeys for the shopping centre’s first ever radio station.

Free auditions for all ages are taking place from noon to 4pm each Wednesday and Saturday afternoon of the summer holidays opposite Bon Marche in the Arndale.

Successful applicants will get to broadcast to shoppers when Arndale Radio begins in September.

“We’re looking for people with a bubbly personality, good sense of humour, able to think on their feet, have a laugh but know when to be serious,” said Becky.

Steve said: “It’s all about being to entertain and inform in equal measure. Anyone can play music but it’s about your voice and personality coming through.”
