Police are hunting a sex pest who targeted an 11-year-old girl at a bus stop.
The man responsible may also have exposed himself to two women last summer in Morecambe, police said.
In the latest incident, a man, described as white, between 50 and 60 years of age, wearing glasses and a flat cap, a black fleece and cream trousers, touched an 11-year-old girl inappropriately whilst she was stood at a bus shelter on Westgate at 5.45pm on February 2.
Police are investigating the possibility that this could be linked to two indecent exposures that were reported to us last summer and so want to use the opportunity to re-appeal for information for these offences.
One of the exposures happened at the Shrimp roundabout on Lancaster Road on the July 23, at 2:30pm in the afternoon.
A man described as white, aged 50 – 60 years of age, of medium build wearing a flat cap was seen in the bushes near to the roundabout and he exposed himself to a woman in her 40s.
The second exposure took place at a bus stop on Lancaster Road on August 7, at 10:10pm when a man described as white, in his 60s of stocky build exposed himself to a 19-year-old woman and made lewd comments to her before walking away when she called police.
Detective Inspector Andy Bunn said: “This is a disturbing incident and it is important that we trace the man responsible.
“I would ask people to think carefully about the description of this man and if anyone has any information that could assist us with our investigation then I’d urge them to contact us on 101.”
“We are keeping an open mind as to whether these offences are linked or not at this stage.” Information can be passed to police on 101 quoting log number LC-20140202-1077.
