The pop band dined at the Morecambe Hotel ahead of their appearance at Morecambe Carnival.

Roy Stride, Greg Churchouse and Pete Ellard, members of Scouting For Girls, dined out at the Morecame eatery on Lord Street.

Roy said: "I had the sharing roast dinner, it was amazing, it is such a nice pub."

Greg said: "Yes, it is all done up in there, I have already done my food rating on Trip Advisor."

This is the first time the band have visited the resort and Roy said he "loves sea-side towns."

The pop stars known for tracks such as 'She's So Lovely" came up with their band name as Roy and Pete were in the scouts and played on the word, 'Scouting For Girls.'

Roy said: "We thought it would be quite funny, like a play-on-word"

Greg said: "It does sort of wear off as we get older though."

The music stars have a busy year coming up, promoting their new album Still Thinking About You, and will play the Keswick Mountain Festival on May 21.

More to come.
