A Morecambe pub keeps on collecting awards.

The Royal Bar received the Pub of the Year award from the Lunesdale Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) hot on the heels of winning Visitor Pub of the Year.

Branch chairman Michael Dillon said that before 2012, the pub would not have been considered for any CAMRA award.

But then owners the O’Hagan family took over and made cask-conditioned ale a central feature of the business as part of a major refurbishment.

Bru Wood said: “A lot of hard work has gone into getting us this far. But we intend to get even better.”
