Roses photos on display at city theatre

Unseen photographs of The Stone Roses will be on display at the next Wired In arts event at The Dukes theatre in Lancaster.

In partnership with the Lancaster Literature Festival the night sees the launch of Set In Stone, a new book from Manchester-based photographer Ian Tilton.

The book features many photographs of The Roses, recalls Ian’s close history with the band and tells some of the stories behind his iconic images.

Co-writer Claire Caldwell, who currently lives in Lancaster, will also read extracts from the book and for one night only, a selection of Ian’s Stone Roses photographs will be on display.

There will also be many previously unseen photographs of the band projected onto a screen as a backdrop, to live music from Kermit & Anderson of Manchester’s Ruthless Rap Assassins.

Lancaster’s Jack Bee will also be performing on the night.

The event , on Monday, October 15, starts at 7pm and will run until around 10pm.

Tickets cost £3 and are available from The Dukes box office, Lancaster.
