LANCASTER Library will be the venue for gigs by several up-and-coming British acts.

The Get it Loud in Libraries gigs will include performances by Hobbie Stuart on January 29, King Creosote and Jon Hopkins on February 8, Charlene Soraia on February 12, Ghostpoet on February 25, SBTRKT on February 27 and Dog is Dead on March 10.

Get It Loud In Libraries is an award-winning project, winner of a Love Libraries Award in 2007, that curates shows in public library buildings.

Gigs have included Adele, Florence & The Machine, Holly Miranda, The Thrills, Alessi’s Ark, Ellie Goulding, Diana Vickers, Bat For Lashes, British Sea Power, Juliette Lewis and Daisy Dares You.

Hobbie Stuart is a British singer-songwriter.

The man from Brighton is something of a You Tube hit, doing covers of songs as diverse as Rhianna’s What’s My Name and the iconic Oasis anthem, Don’t Look Back in Anger.
