The winning design.

The winning design.

CLASSIC album covers of the past have included Nirvana’s Never Mind and The Beatles’ Abbey Road and Sergeant Pepper.

And now a Morecambe Community High School pupil has earned plaudits for his own record cover.

Owen Davison won a website competition and his winning cover will now be displayed at an East London gallery.

And a graphic design company was so impressed that they offered Owen a job, which he had to decline because he’s only 14 years old and still at school!

Owen entered the international competition on the Talenthouse website when he saw it advertised on Twitter.

It was created in order to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust and involved creating a cover for a new vinyl called Blackflies by musician Ben Howard.
