The Queen and Princess Anne will visit Kendal, Lake Windermere and Bowness tomorrow (Wednesday, July 17).
The royal party will be in Kendal town centre mid-morning, the James Cropper paper making mill late-morning, and Bowness-on-Windermere early afternoon.
They will also attend a private party at the Miller Howe hotel on the banks of Lake Windermere, where one of the guests will be Queen’s Guide to the Sands, Cedric Robinson MBE.
Kendal and Bowness are expected to be packed with people straining to get a glimpse of the royals, especially because excellent weather is forecast.
Police are asking people to be aware of possible disruptions and delays to their journeys.
Members of the public have also been advised that the James Cropper site will not provide a good viewing opportunity.
Specific timings for the royal visit will not be released. This is a rare royal engagement by the Queen and Princess Anne together.
