MORECAMBE’S town clerk has had a few mountains to climb in his first few months in the job.
And having taken on the job at a particularly stormy time he’s decided to take on a real mountain.
David Croxall is climbing the highest peak in Western Europe, Mont Blanc, to raise money for the Morecambe branch of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
David, who is taking on the French mountain as part of a five-day trek, said: “I’m an outdoor person so I’m interested in stuff like this. I climbed Kilimanjaro 10 years ago and the guy I climbed it with is 50 this year and he invited me along.
“My mum’s neighbour was the secretary of the local RNLI.
