Police appeal after shoplifting offences

Police want to speak to a couple in connection with two shoplifting offences in Carnforth and Silverdale.

The first offence took place on August 19 when a man and a woman entered the Late Shop on Market Street, Carnforth and stole six bottles of Moet, a ready meal and some toiletries, totalling more than £237.

The same couple entered the Co-operative store on Emesgate Lane, Silverdale on September 27 and stole more than £100 of spirits including six bottles of vodka, a bottle of rum and a bottle of Bells whiskey.

The man was described as in his mid-50s with collar length grey hair, a moustache and glasses. He was wearing a navy blue shirt, tie and pin-stripe trousers.

The woman was also in her mid-50s with shoulder length blonde hair, wearing a cream coloured coat with pin-stripe trousers and carrying a canvas-style bag.
