Police appeal after ‘kiss’ prank

A stranger who ran up to a woman in the street and repeatedly tried to kiss her is being sought by police.

The victim, who was alone at the time, was left shaken after the incident, which happened at 8.30pm on Tuesday, May 27, outside Simply Baby on North Road.

The victim was approached by a man from the direction of Wetherspoons, who grabbed her and made attempts to kiss her, before walking back the same way, laughing.

The man may have been with a group and seen this as a prank.

PC Ben Hanley, from Lancaster Police, said: “This incident has understandably shaken up the victim.

“The suspect is described as white, about 30 years old, and wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans.”
