Poetic walk around Lancaster

TAKE a poetic stroll around Lancaster as part of Litfest.

The Lancaster City Council’s Visitor Information Centre, in Lancaster, is offering Walking in Circles tours – three tours which explore the history and people of the city.

The tours accompany a specially designed map to introduce visitors and residents to stories, real and imagined, of the city.

They’ve been written by local poets Elizabeth Burns and Rebecca Irvine Bilkau and Cumbrian resident Martyn Halsall.

All walks start at The Storey, where you can pick up a map from the Visitor Innformation Centre for £1. You can also borrow an MP3 player, with recordings of the poems (for a refundable deposit of £10).
