Outdoors indoors at Nuffield Theatre

A NEW show will bring the great outdoors indoors on March 3 at Lancaster University’s Nuffield Theatre.

The Forest, for everyone aged five and over, will be shown from February 29 to March 3 after a sell-out run at the Sydney Opera House.

A surprising and enchanting contemporary dance production which takes place within a set full of real trees, The Forest explores the landscape through music, dance, light and sound.

The Forest is a place where things are not quite what they seem. People become animals, birds become music, day becomes night-time, leaves become light.

The music and sounds have been specially created using a variety of instruments and samples of sounds from real forests such as leaves rustling, thunder, rain and birdsong.

The Dukes and Live at LICA(Lancaster Institute for Contemporary Arts) have joined forces to present The Forest at the Nuffield Theatre on the Lancaster University campus.

Tickets are priced from £6. Family and Friends tickets and Web Advance tickets are also available. For more information and to book, call The Dukes box office on 01524 598500, visit www.dukes-lancaster.org or www.liveatlica.org.
