A COMIC no-holds-barred subversion of Greek tragedy is coming to The Dukes in March.
Following on from their production of Moby Dick, which played at the Lancaster theatre in 2009, Spymonkey return with Oedipussy, their collaboration with artists from the forefront of British theatre.
Oedipussy is Spymonkey’s second co-production with Royal & Derngate Northampton and is touring nationally. It’s staged at The Dukes from March 22 to 24.
Spymonkey’s physical comedy combines with playful storytelling in a tale of forbidden lust, accidental incest, violent murder and the ultimate dysfunctional family, a jealous father, a messed-up son, and one mother of a brilliant comedy.
