A pensioner accused of grooming a young boy and abusing him over a five-year period has admitted in court they did have sexual encounters.
Former council gardener George Walker, from Holme, near Carnforth, told a jury at Bolton Crown Court that he twice performed a sex act on a 14-year-old boy.
Giving evidence in his own defence, 70-year-old Walker, formerly of Sharples, Bolton and now living at Sheernest, Holme, told how he and his wife Arlene, who worked as a childminder, had been married for 43 years but had no children.
Walker has admitted one charge of indecent assault but denies 20 further counts of indecent assault and three counts of buggery.
The case continues.
