ANOTHER cash pot for struggling UK seaside resorts has become available which could benefit the Winter Gardens.
The Government has announced they will give £23million to “coastal communities” starting from April 2012.
And Morecambe MP, David Morris, is encouraging the Winter Gardens to bid for some of the money because the scheme is partly targeted at bringing redundant buildings back into use.
The pot of funding can also be accessed by innovative bids from businesses, charities, social enterprises and other local organisations.
It is as yet undecided who will distribute the funding, however, the Government is in talks with the Big Fund, part of the Big Lottery Fund.
