THE MP for Morecambe and Lunesdale will “rock the House” tomorrow when he plays in a band at Westminster Hall.

David Morris plays guitar in MP4, a rock band made up of Members of Parliament.

The group will entertain an audience of House Of Commons, House of Lords and Parliamentary Estate staff.

It is believed to be the first time a pop band has never played in the hall and MP4 are thought to be the first and only all-MP band in the world.

“I am very much looking forward to playing, however, I am not sure how the stone walls and wooden roof will sound acoustically,” said Mr Morris, who was a songwriter and session musician before he became an MP.

“Regardless, it will be an incredible event to commemorate Her Majesty The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.”
