Morecambe Vintage-by-the-Sea is just around the corner and in next week’s Visitor we’ll have a bumper preview of the festival.
Our pull-out guide will bring you a full rundown of all the throwback goings-on at Morecambe’s biggest event of the autumn.

Vintage-by-the-Sea celebrates the wonderful culture of Britain of the 20th century and is a mixture of free events centred around the Midland Hotel and The Platform, and paid-for ticketed events.
Tickets are still available for some big nights of nostalgic music over the weekend.
DJs from the famous Hacienda nightclub in Manchester will play on a night celebrating Britain’s rich club culture at the Winter Gardens (September 6).
Tickets for The Hacienda dance, acid house and electro night, known as ‘The Warehouse’, cost £15 plus booking fee. It runs from 9pm to 2am. There will be a Q&A with DJs Mike Pickering and Dave Haslam at The Hothouse, Devonshire Road, from 4pm on the day. £3.
Then on Sunday, September 7, the Winter Gardens will host the second Soul Casino event with classic 70s soul and 80s disco. Tickets £13 plus booking fee. This runs from 5.30pm to 1am.Also on the Sunday from 7.30pm,
The Platform will host ‘Let It Rock’ on the Sunday with live music from 1950s rock ‘n’ roll bands. Tickets £12.
