BOOKINGS are being taken for Morecambe’s attempt to break the world record for the biggest ever street party.

Morecambe Town Council is inviting applications for its gigantic party on the prom on Sunday, June 3, to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

They cost a minimum of £5 with proceeds going to St John’s Hospice and Help for Heroes.

Lead organiser Tricia Heath (pictured) said tables will run along the promenade in both directions with a centrepoint of the Eric Morecambe Statue.

Booking forms from Morecambe Town Hall, 13 The Warehouse on Queen Street, the Midland.
