Morecambe man behind huge 1990s retro dance night

A Morecambe promoter is bringing some of the biggest names in 1990s dance music to a major North West venue.

Rob Denwood is promoting ‘Dance Decade Presents The PAs’ at Preston Guild Hall in November.

Acts appearing include Bizarre Inc, famed for their hits ‘Playing with Knives’ and ‘Such a Feeling’ and Baby D who had a number one in 1994 ‘Let Me Be Your Fantasy’.

Also on the bill are SL2 who had a number two in 1992 with ‘On a Ragga Tip’ and N-Trance who are famed for their smash hit ‘Set You Free’.

Other big names from the world of dance will be Altern 8, Shades of Rhythm, 2 For Joy, N-Joi and Dream Frequency.

Slipmatt and Lee ‘MC Jester’ Watson will host.

Rob was one of the promoters behind the ‘Final Farewell’ dance night at The Carleton in January 2016 which drew 1,300 to the Morecambe nightclub.

The Preston gig is on November 26 from 9pm to 3.30am. There is a warm-up party from 8pm.
