The popular Morecambe Bay Singers have two local concerts planned for December.
Playing at different venues in Morecambe over the next few weeks, their programme of music is sure to get you in the festive spirit.
Starting on December 12, the first performance is at Morecambe Parish Church, where the choir practice each week. At this evening show, they will be joined by a quartet from Morecambe Brass Band.
The 20 strong choir will be performing excerpts from Handel’s Messiah as well as traditional carols and songs. Admission is £7 and includes mulled wine and a mince pie. The show starts at 7.30pm.
For the singers finale of festive songs they’ll be performing at the Winter Gardens for a very special afternoon of “Carols by Candlelight.” Starting at 3pm on the last Saturday before Christmas (December 19), this show promises to get you into the Christmas spirit, as soaring descants and traditional carols are sung in beautiful harmony.
The event is all in aid of Galloways. Admission is £5 for adults and £3 for concessions.
