Two of our district’s parks have been awarded a coveted Green Flag.

Happy Mount Park in Morecambe and Williamson Park in Lancaster have both received the national award, handed out by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy.

It recognises the best parks and green spaces across the country.

A Green Flag flying overhead is a sign to visitors that the park boasts the highest possible standards, is beautifully maintained and has excellent facilities.

Williamson Park has also be awarded special Green Heritage status for the third year in a row.
