Students stage protest against tuition fees

MORE than 200 students took to the streets of Lancaster protesting against tuition fees and student debt.

The protesters, who marched up Penny Street on Friday morning, were armed with placards and joined in a rallying cry, before gathering outside Lancaster Town Hall.

They then presented MP Ben Wallace with a letter signed by 1,300 Lancaster University students calling for his support.
