Pig's head prank in Poulton

POLICE called to a suspicious package in Poulton made a gruesome discovery – a pig's head stuck on a spiked railing.

The pig's head, surrounded by blood and flies, had been left outside Cinnabar House on Poulton Road sometime before Sunday morning when it was discovered by a local resident.

The resident said the head had been cleanly cut from the pig.

Police disposed of the head after arriving at the scene at 10.23am.

There are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the grisly find and police have not had any other reports of similar incidents.
