MP’s website hacked by group
MP for Morecambe and Lunesdale David Morris.
THE website of Morecambe and Lunesdale MP David Morris was taken down after it was hacked by a group claiming to represent Muslim freedom fighters.
MP David Morris was left “shocked” following the attack by the “Freedom for the Mujahideen” group.
He also tweeted: “My website has been hacked, currently working on the situation please e-mail or telephone until further notice.”
The group had posted an offensive video which “we wouldn’t want people to see”.
A spokesman said the online attack had been reported to Lancashire Police.
A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: “We received a report from a complainant relating to a website and an investigation is under way.”
Mr Morris became the MP for Morecambe and Lunesdale in 2010.
The spokesman for the MP said the company which hosts the MP’s website had been informed and it was hoped the site would be fixed “as soon as possible”.
Constituents were advised to contact him via telephone or e-mail until the situation was revolved and the website was back online.
David can be contacted via e-mail david.morris.mp@parliament.uk or by telephone on 01524 841225.
