Man found dead near level crossing
THE body of a man has been found in a 4x4 near to the level crossing in Bare.
It is understood that police and paramedics were called to the scene at the junction of Bare Lane and South Road at around 1.50pm today.
The area has been cordoned off by scene of crime officers and South Road has been closed to vehicles.
Lyn Helme, who works at Simply Food and Drinks close to the scene, said: “I heard that a couple had seen the silver car near to a tree and thought it looked a but funny so they went to investigate.
“It’s all taped off and the police have asked for CCTV.”
Passengers alighting from trains at Bare Lane are being diverted down Beaufort Road.
A Lancashire Police spokesman confirmed the force was investigating an “unexplained death”.

Friday, February 3, 2012 at 11:10 PMYou posted this on here and on twitter 2 hours before the mans 4 children and girlfriend found out, i can assure you that his girlfriend is very upset and feels discriminated by you and the police that she didnt find out earlier. Also, i dont understand how a tragedy like this should be classed as 'breaking news', these are peoples lives, not an exploitation for you to make money from..your disgusting.
