Man taken to hospital after crash

A MOTORCYCLIST has been taken to hospital following a road traffic accident this afternoon, Friday.

The incident happened just before 3.30pm on the junction of Morecambe Road and Scale Hall Lane.

A spokeswoman from North West Ambulance said: “We received two calls at 3.25pm to reports of a RTC.

“Currently it is not known whether a car collided with the motorcyclist or if he fell off.

“Witnesses at the scene believe the motorcyclist to be a 17-year-old man.”

Police are currently at the scene and the motorcyclist has been taken by ambulance to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary with a bleeding nose and cuts to the face.
