The Reverend David Tickner MBE was installed as the new Honorary Canon of Heysham by The Lord Bishop of Blackburn, The Right Reverend Nicholas Reade.

The service at Blackburn Cathedral on Sunday, September 23 was also attended by over 100 parishioners from Heysham who joined David and his family for the service.

Afterwards they presented David with a crystal rosebowl that was engraved to mark the occasion.
