Abbey role for Lancaster actress
A LANCASTER actress will soon be seen in multi-Emmy award-winning TV drama Downton Abbey.
Christine Mackie will appear in two episodes of the Sunday night hit series in October and also the Christmas special as the mother of a soldier injured in World War One.
Her screen husband will be Pirates of the Carribean star Kevin McNally.
Christine’s husband, musician and designer James Mackie, runs Mackies of Lancaster interior design shop in Dalton Square.
She has also appeared in other TV shows including The Bill and Coronation Street, and is a regular at The Dukes where she will perform in the play Hi Vis this month.
