THE body of a 22-year-old Settle man who had been reported missing has been found by police in woodland above the town.
Ricky John Jethro Wilson, who was also known as Jethro Burnside, had last been seen leaving his flat in Duke Street at around 2pm on Sunday, September 18.
After he was reported missing by a concerned colleague the following day, when he failed to turn up for work, police appealed for information about his whereabouts and said that while he had been experiencing personal problems, the disappearance was out of character.
Mr Wilson’s body was found at Black’s Plantation at 2.30pm yesterday, Tuesday, September 20, after a search of local woodland, quarries and moorland which also involved Clapham Cave Rescue.
Police said there were no suspicious circumstances and are preparing a report for the coroner.
