A new charity has been set up to raise money and awareness for parents who suffer from terminal illness.

Making Memories aims to offer the parent an opportunity to give their children a memory that they can cherish forever.

The Lancaster-based charity held stalls at festive markets this year, stocked with gift ideas hand knitted mostly by volunteers and Lancaster University’s Knitting Society. A stall at Lancaster University’s Christmas Market helped to raise almost £600.

Mathew Gillings, President of Making Memories, said: “It was nice to see everyone come together and support our charity.”
